Lately with my projects I’m really feeling the weight that texture adds. It’s so fun to start experimenting with it, and to really see how much depth I can get out of something that’s, say, all white.
So these are both macro shots. You’ll never guess what this is a photo of, below! Okay well, geologists probably will. It’s the tiny marks inside a crystal that I have. The crystal itself is only the size of my thumb.
It’s really wild to think… All of the details in our huge world, full of things. If one tiny piece of a chipped off Rick can have this many teensy tiny beautiful and strange markings, imagine what else does. Mind. Blown.
